Appeals Regulation

Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) employees are committed to resolving disputes as they arise without the use of the appeals process.  In the event that a dispute cannot be resolved ESA has worked to establish an official process to support appeals.

In January 2005 the Ontario government approved an Appeals Regulation that governs appeals and reviews related to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and the Electrical Distribution Safety Regulation. Inquiries can be submitted to  esa.appeals@electricalsafety.on.ca

Following government approval, procedural rules and business processes were developed and an independent review panel of industry representatives was established to support the resolution of appeals.
